Signal Chain is a free ASCII art visualizer that turns any image into a glitch-driven Spotify Canvas video. It’s built for electronic music producers — techno, hardstyle, industrial, and anything else running on distortion and momentum — who want a Canvas that actually looks like it belongs on the same release as the track. Upload your cover art, pick a glitch effect, and export a Canvas-ready video: no design software, no login, no watermark.
How It Works
- 1. Upload your cover art. Drop any image into the INPUT panel — this is the source the ASCII engine reconstructs.
- 2. Choose an effect mode. Static holds a clean scanline reconstruction, Glitch adds twitchy signal-corruption motion, and Destruction lets the image visibly erode over the video’s runtime.
- 3. Set the energy level. Five levels, from Peaceful to Aggressive, tune how far the reconstruction pushes.
- 4. Reframe to fit. Use the crop editor to lock the image to Spotify Canvas’s 9:16 frame exactly how you want it.
- 5. Export. Signal Chain renders and downloads a 1080×1920, 8-second looping MP4 sized for Canvas — entirely in your browser.
- 6. Upload to Spotify. Attach the exported file to your track in Spotify for Artists, under Canvas.
